Summary
Diagnostic communication directly impacts patient outcomes. This pre-post study evaluates a generative AI-assisted simulation for medical students in Mexico. Across scenarios, students practiced core diagnostic communication skills, including rapport, diagnosis delivery, empathy, and management planning. While the results situate AI as a possible support mechanism to improve communication skills, more trials are needed to validate this educational approach.
