Governance of AI in Healthcare: When Should We Move Forward With Deployment?
Tuesday, March 25, 2025
1-2 p.m. Pacific Time

As AI adoption in healthcare accelerates, ensuring responsible deployment is critical. Many machine learning models suffer from methodological flaws like label leakage, and while some failures have been studied in academic settings, many deployed models operate without sufficient scrutiny. Effective governance must go beyond accuracy metrics to account for healthcare’s complex dynamics, recognize AI maturity as a spectrum, and tailor frameworks to the resources of diverse health systems.

This webinar explores key considerations for AI governance and shares insights from a collaboration between the University of Chicago Medicine and St. Luke’s University Health Network. The study aims to assess existing frameworks and audit models in use and establish best practices for oversight.

Watch the recording for an in-depth discussion on balancing innovation with accountability, and learn when—and how—we should responsibly move forward with AI deployment in healthcare.
